Some people say we can’t save the theater because the owner can do whatever they want to do with the theater. But we all know that isn’t 100% true.

The theater is in Madison’s Historic Civic and Commercial District recognized in local, state, and national registers which offer it special consideration. There are a variety of rules and regulations in place for proposed new construction in Madison. Many of which the developers are requesting variances on in order to make their building economically viable.

Please come to the Historic Preservation Committee meetings at the Hartley Dodge Memorial and show them that Madison residents care deeply about this building and want it saved. If the developer, the town, and the citizens come together, we can make sure no one loses – and we save the theater.
